My Viking IP entry phone is registered with Cisco Call Manager. I press the call button, someone answers the call and we communicate. But if the person that answers puts the call on hold, the Viking IP entry phone hangs up. Why does the entry phone hang up when put on hold?
This problem was corrected in all Viking entry and emergency IP phones (E-10-IP, E-30-IP, E-1600-IP, etc) manufactured after October of 2018. It is a hardware issue, so it can’t be corrected through a firmware update. Contact Viking Technical Support department to confirm the version of IP phone you have. Please have the model number, serial number (S/N) and part number (P/N) information available if possible.
