The green network jack LED on my IP phone is flashing instead of being lit steady. Why?
This means that your IP phone is stuck in the “bootloader” mode. This can happen during a phone firmware update when the update is interrupted or doesn’t complete for some reason. When you connect to the unit, the software will prompt the security code (or “attempt firmware reload”) and you need to click on the “reload firmware” button. It will then ask if you want to update to the latest released version of phone software. If you click on “yes”, it will install the latest version of firmware. Once the firmware software is completed, the green network jack LED will light steady and you will be connected to the unit in the PC software.
