I have an E-40 entry phone, a K-1900-5 to dial the number for the entry phone and a SRC-1 for touch tone door control. When the E-40 calls and the remote party tries to dial the touch tone command to open the door, there is a constant beeping sound that sounds like a continuous string of touch tones. Where are these tones coming from?
The K-1900-5 is producing the continuous touch tones as part of a “restriction” feature. The “restriction” feature of the K-1900-5 must be disabled in an application like yours, to eliminate the continuous touch tones. Access the programming mode of the K-1900-5 and dial “*02” to disable touch tone and flash restriction.
