You may have programmed the IP phone with an address that is:

  • already being used by another device on the network (IP address conflict)
  • a static IP address that is on a different subnet than the programming PC.  

 

Try setting the unit back to default settings:

  1. Unplug the Ethernet cable from the unit.  
  2. Press and hold the unit’s “Call” button.  
  3. Plug the Ethernet cable back into the unit -  while still pressing the button
  4. After about 12 seconds, four beeps will be heard.  
  5. Release the “Call” button.  
  6. About 5 seconds later, two more beeps will be heard.  
  7. The network settings are now set back to default, which includes enabling DHCP.
  8. (note if DHCP is not available on the network, the Viking unit will default to an IP Address of 192.168.154.1)
