You can turn off the steady lights by slightly changing the wiring to the strobe. In the product manual, it tells you to match the three wires from the strobe to the three wires from the control board (red to red, black to black and green to green). Wire the three wires from the strobe to the control board like this instead:
The black wire from the strobe connects to the black wire from the control board. The red and green wired from the strobe light are connected together and they both connect to the green wire from the control board. The red wire from the control board is not unused.
